How we're funded

Between 2023 and 2025, Queer & Trans Wealth offered financial coaching for groups and individuals. About 25% of the profits from those services were used to produce our newsletter.

We received two grants to support our growth:
➡️ $20,000 from the LION Sustainability Audit in January 2025
➡️ $5,000 from our fiscal sponsor, the Tiny News Collective

In 2026, we are shifting our revenue model to include:

Leo Aquino (they/them) is a poet, screenwriter, filmmaker, and award-winning journalist living in Los Angeles. They also serve as a financial coach for queer and trans people across the US. Leo is the founder of Queer & Trans Wealth.
